She's Gonna Bolt!
Last year, something remarkable happened in the Black Hills. More than 225 people came together for the first She's Gonna Bolt 5K, an event inspired by Carla Malik and her family's journey through early-onset Alzheimer's.
It was more than just a race. It was a statement - one that raised over $25,000 to support those affected by dementia in our community.
Now, in its second year, She's Gonna Bolt continues to grow. It remains a tribute to Carla, but it has also become something larger: a movement, a promise that no one should face dementia alone.
This year, as we lace up our shoes and step onto the course, we do so with purpose. We run to honor the past, to support those in the present, and to build something better for the future. Because She's Gonna Bolt is more than an event. It is a declaration of hope. And hope, when shared, is unstoppable.
